THE EUREKA TREE

Privacy

The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no ad trackers, and doesn't try to work out who you are.

If you send a correction

The ⚑ "Argue with this" form stores exactly what you type: which discovery or connection you're disputing, your explanation, and — only if you choose to fill it in — the name or source you give. That's it. There's no account, and the name field is optional; leave it blank and the correction is anonymous.

Corrections are stored on the same server that hosts this site, in a file that isn't reachable from the web, and read by the person who maintains it. They aren't sold, shared, or published as-is. A correction may lead to the map changing; if you gave a name, you may be credited for it.

Analytics

If page analytics are enabled, they're the privacy-preserving kind: aggregate counts of pages viewed, with no cookies and no cross-site tracking. Nothing that identifies you personally.

Want your correction removed?

Send another one saying so and mention roughly when you sent the first, and it'll be deleted.
